Location: Barnawapara Forest Range, Nanwapara, Chhattisgarh

Timings: 6:45 am to 11 am and again from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm during summers. And during winters the timings are from 6 am to 10:30 am and again from 3 pm to 6:30 pm on all days. The sanctuary remains closed during the monsoon season from 1st July to 31st October.

Entry fee: Rs. 55 per person for Indians and Rs. 200 per person for foreigners. For a guide the fee is Rs. 250. There are additional charges for Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary safari and it ranges from Rs. 1300 to Rs. 2800 depending on the distance and type of vehicle.

How to reach

By air

If you are travelling by air then the Swami Vivekananda International Airport in Raipur is the nearest airport to reach the sanctuary. Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary distance from Raipur is about 118.9 km. It would take you around 2 hours and 15 minutes to reach the wildlife sanctuary from the Raipur airport. The only way to reach the location of the sanctuary is to take a car or hire a cab from the Raipur Airport.

By train

In case you are travelling by train then the nearest railway station to reach the location of the sanctuary is the Mahasamund Railway Station. From the Mahasamund Railway Station the location of the sanctuary is about 82 km away. It would approximately take you around 1 hour and 50 minutes to reach the wildlife sanctuary from Mahasamund. By road
