At the EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy these bikes made an appearance. The brand had been teasing the new models from the last few days already. But finally they are out in the open in front of the whole world. The concept of these bikes is based similarly on the line of the Xtunt 2.5R. The Xtunt 2.5R was a part of the unveiling at the EICMA 2023.
The latest Hero Xtreme 250R motorcycles will be the first ever motorcycles from the brand in the 250cc area. There are talks that the Hero Xtreme 250R launch date in India would be around next year. But soon at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 they will make an appearance in Delhi in January. This will be the first public appearance of these bikes in India.

The Hero Xtreme 250R price in India would fall around a range of Rs. 2,10, 000 to Rs. 2, 30, 000. If we talk about the design and the model then these new bikes have everything nice to talk about. They look like street naked motorcycles that look classy and appealing. Along with that they come with angular LED headlamps as well. The bike gets a beefy look because of the fuel tank that is fuller in appearance. There are additionally some sharp cuts with extensions of the tank. Overall the bike looks clean with integrated extensions in right balance and proportion. On the swing arm there is the registration plate on the rear side. It somewhat resembles the massive European bikes giving it a similar look.
The bike will also have a steel trellis frame with 43mm USD front suspension. They will run on a 17 inch wheel with broad tiers giving it an attractive frame. At the front as well as in the rear there are disc brakes along with switchable ABS.
Specifications
While talking about the specifications the 250c single cylinder engine takes up the highlight. It is a liquid cooled petrol engine that is on the similar line of the existing range of 210 cc Karizma XMR engines. The length of the stroke is however 7mm more. This is done because that would give this a higher displacement. The head is however the same. But the crank case is different in the 250 cc engine from the 210 cc motor. It has a 6 speed transmission with engine churning at 30bhp at 9250rpm and 5Nm at 7250rpm.
Additionally Hero Xtreme 250R has a digital instrument console. The brand is also claiming that the engine takes the bike from 0 – 60 kmph in 3.25 seconds. They are also claiming that the Hero Xtreme 250R mileage will be better than a lot of existing models in the same category. According to the budget and the specifications this would be one of the most interesting launches in the Indian market for sure. It will be a direct competition for the already existing ranges of KTM Duke and Husqvarna Vitpilen 250.
