Science City Lucknow timing: The Science City Lucknow opening time is 9:30 am to 5:30 pm on all days
Show Timings:
Science City Lucknow 3D Show timings are 12 noon and 4:45 pm and the language is English. And at 3:15 pm the language is Hindi. The Schimax timings are at 11:30 am and 1 pm in English and 2:15 pm in Hindi. Taramandal Show timings are at 11 am and 3:30 pm in English. And at 1:30 pm there is a show in Hindi.
Science City Lucknow Ticket Price
The ticket price for general visitors is Rs. 25 for Science Centre, Rs. 50 for Scimax Show, Rs. 20 for 3D Show, for Taramandal Show it is Rs. 10 and Rs. 10 for Science Demonstration for lectures. However for General visitors in a group of 25 people or more the ticket price is different. For that the ticket price is Rs. 20 for Science Centre, Rs. 40 for Scimax Show, Rs. 15 for 3D Show, for Taramandal Show it is Rs. 10 and Rs. 10 for Science Demonstration Lectures.
The ticket price of students in an organized group of 25 or more students is also different. It is Rs. 10 for Science Centre, Rs. 30 for Scimax Show and Rs. 10 for 3D Show. And for the Taramandal Show it is Rs. 10 and Rs. 10 for Science Demonstration Lectures.
However for Students from Government or Municipal School in a group of 25 or more separate tickets are also available here. It is Rs. 5 for Science Show, Rs. 15 for Scimax Show, Rs. 5 for 3D Show, for Taramandal Show Rs. 5 and Rs.5 for Science Demonstration Lectures.
There are separate fees here for BPL Card Holders as well. However they will have to produce the card to avail the special price. It is Rs. 5 for Science Centre, Rs. 50 for Scimax Show, Rs. 20 for 3D Show, for Taramandal Show it is Rs. 10 and Rs. 10 for Science Demonstration Lectures.
There is an additional parking fee here also and that is Rs. 10 for 2 wheelers and Rs. 20 for 4 wheelers.
How to Reach
By air
If you are travelling by air then the Chandhury Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow would be the nearest airport to reach the Science City. From the airport the Science city is located 20 km away and you can reach there in about 56 minutes. You can easily take a cab to reach the Science City conveniently. Or else you can take a rickshaw or an e- rickshaw to reach there as well.
By train
While travelling in a train the nearest railway station to reach the Science City Lucknow would be the Lucknow Junction Railway Station. The Lucknow Junction is located at a distance of 8 km from the Science City. So it would be convenient to take a cab from there to reach Science City in about 24 minutes. You can also take an e rickshaw or rickshaw as well to reach there in about 24 minutes.
By road
You can get buses from various parts of the city and beyond to reach the Science City. The Nagar Nigam bus stand is the nearest bus stand to reach the Science Centre. From the Nagar Nigam Bus Stop the Science City is located only 1.4 km away. You can easily walk up to the Science City in about 15 minutes from the bus stand. Another major bus stop is the Alambagh Bus Stand. The Alambagh Bus Stand is 11 km away from the Science City Lucknow and you can reach there in about 30 minutes. You can furthermore take cabs or taxis as well to travel from any location within the city. Also you can travel by your own vehicle as well. And Science City has their own paid parking area so parking here would not be a hassle.
By metro
You can also travel within the city via metro to reach the Lucknow Science City. The nearest metro stations to reach there are IT Chauraha and Badshah Nagar Metro Stations. From IT Chauraha Metro Station the Science City is 3.3 km away and you can reach there in about 10 minutes. And from the Badshah Nagar Metro Station the Science City is located at a distance of 4.6 km. It would take around 12 minutes to reach there from the metro station.
Best time to visit
The ideal time to visit here would be from November to February. These are the colder months and it would be ideal to explore the Science City during this time period. When the weather is in check you would find it comfortable to check through all the galleries here. Also to explore the models and exhibits the colder months would be the ideal time for a visit. History of Science City Lucknow
The Lucknow Science City or the Regional Science Centre in Lucknow is a Science Centre designed by National Council of Science Museums (NCSM). It is furthermore a satellite unit of the National Science Centre in Delhi. Initially this Science Centre started as a small centre in 1989. The main aim behind the creation was to promote science and scientific factors amongst general people. Later it started gaining momentum and became popular too.
